Dr. Morgan Davies
Hi, I’m Dr. Morgan Davies, registered clinical psychologist. My path to becoming a psychologist wasn't linear, and I believe that makes me a better therapist. After exploring other careers, I discovered that my true calling was psychology and mental health. This realization led me back to school as a mature student and I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from York University in Toronto. Knowing I’d be spending the next 5 years in grad school, I decided to spend those years in warm, sunny weather and completed my Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) degree in Clinical Psychology at Florida Institute of Technology.
My clinical training includes a comprehensive 2000-hour internship at the University of South Florida treating conditions including anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and difficult life transitions. This was followed by a specialized 2000-hour postdoctoral fellowship in a partial hospitalization program focusing on treatment of severe OCD, anxiety, and phobias. I carried the skills and expertise into my private practice.
My style as a therapist is warm, personable, and authentic. I’m known for being non-judgmental, funny at times, and gently challenging. I believe therapy is most effective when it feels like a real, human connection combined with professional expertise. My work is grounded in evidence-based approaches, but I don’t believe in a “one-size-fits-all” model. Instead, I tailor therapy to your unique needs, values, and goals.
Over the course of my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with people with varying and unique identities, helping them understand themselves more deeply, improve their relationships, and navigate the challenges that life inevitably brings.
Whether you’re looking for support with personal growth, mental health concerns, or you simply want to feel more grounded and connected in your daily life, I would be honoured to walk alongside you in that process.
