Treatment Areas

OCD

Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder involves unwanted intrusive thoughts (obsessions) and repetitive behaviors (compulsions) that cause anxiety and disrupt daily life. Effective treatments like cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) with exposure and response prevention (ERP) help manage symptoms, reduce compulsions, and improve quality of life.

Trauma/Complex Trauma

Trauma occurs when a person experiences an event or series of events that overwhelm their ability to cope, leaving lasting emotional, psychological, and sometimes physical effects. Complex trauma refers to exposure to multiple or prolonged traumatic experiences, often starting in early life, such as ongoing abuse, neglect, or domestic violence. This type of trauma can deeply impact one’s sense of safety, identity, and relationships.

Anxiety

While everyone feels anxious at times, persistent or overwhelming anxiety can interfere with daily life and well-being. Understanding your anxiety, learning coping strategies, and seeking support can help you regain control and improve your mental health.

ADHD

Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, is a common neurodevelopmental condition that affects focus, impulse control, and activity levels. People with ADHD often experience challenges with organization, time management, and maintaining attention on tasks, but they also tend to be creative, energetic, and able to think outside the box. Understanding ADHD is key to developing strategies that harness strengths while managing difficulties, improving everyday functioning and overall well-being.

Grief & Life Transitions

Loss and difficult life changes can deeply affect our emotional, physical, and mental well-being. They often bring feelings of sadness, confusion, anxiety, and loss of control, making everyday tasks feel overwhelming. These experiences challenge our sense of stability and can lead to isolation or a shift in how we view ourselves and the world. However, with compassion, support, and time, it’s possible to navigate these transitions, find new meaning, and foster resilience.
